Two Day Hands On Workshop
This two day hands on carpentry fundamentals workshop is designed for anyone who wants to learn how to build a basic structure such as a shed. Sheds are one of the most common and practical building projects, and the framing principles used to build them are the same fundamentals used in many other small structures.
During this class, we will be building a small sauna. Although the finished use is different, the way a sauna is framed is the same as a shed. The skills you learn in this course apply directly to sheds, small outbuildings, and form the foundation for understanding larger structures such as cabins and homes.
Participants will learn how to read construction plans and gain hands on experience with floor, wall, and roof framing while working together on a real build. Before the course begins, the floor framing will be completed.…
