In this course, you’ll gain an introduction to reading plans, using power tools, and assembling a sturdy piece of furniture of your very own! We’ll cover measuring and marking, making accurate cuts with a circular saw and mitre saw, and the fundamentals of drills and drivers. The potting bench will be constructed with 4x4’s, 1x4s, 1x6s, and screws, so no woodworking joinery will be covered in this course.
The skills gained in this session will be transferrable to a multitude of other home improvement and build projects, so we encourage you to bring questions! Bench will be built so that it can be taken apart for travel for people who don't have the means to transport a large piece of furniture. Registration details to follow from Horn Farm Center.
